Old Man Emu visited me today in a UPS outfit.
![]() ![]() ![]() I was going to do a whole 'How to' install thread using the most basic of tools to get the job done. But I had time at work and I was eager to get it all installed. I dont have a before and after pictures. I did gain 4" in the front and 2" in the back. The shocks were totally worn out on the front and the springs sagging. Overall handing and ride quality is 100% improved, but I cant really comment on it now because the suspension has yet to settle and wear in. Total install time was about 2 hours. 265/65R18 Tires are to follow probably next weekend. |

Atlantic British. Well, I bought it through the rover shop here and they got it from there. It was alot more money than it could have been, but it was quick, easy and painless to get it.
I should be getting my new tires installed before friday next week. I have a screw holding the air in one. Lets hope it holds. ![]() |

PM me and I will send you my snail mail addy so you can ship me some OME springs and shocks...my truc...oh, sorry, my wife's truck is needing some shocks so might as well do the whole deal right? I got the front bumper and lights but no winch in it yet so I'm not sagging yet. Soon, I'm sure. So back to your truck. It looks GREAT! Good work!
I'll be looking for that PM so you'll know where to ship my parts... I'll need the RTE rear air spacers for my SLS then some 779 springs up front and some OME HD shocks. Thanks.Micah

Im really pumped because Im supposed to go off-roading all next weekend. I just hope everything works out with the tires.
Next big thing on the list is a CDL install. Im probably going to order the parts from Ashcroft and install them into my exsisting transfer case. Its cheaper because shipping costs so much now. But First, I have to get the engine in that white car in the background done. Damn fuel pump stopped working under full power about a month ago. I had that corvette beat too. |

Lol, I jumped. The puddle ahead of this one is like door handle deep. I went in hard and water like tidal waved up the windsheild.
I went out with a stock Jeep Rubicon (fully locked stock). He could crawl better than me over obsticles, but I could go through all the mud he got stuck in. |

So the damage was my passenger door window motor is shot, the teeth wore off so the window is held on with duct tape. My Video Camera doesnt function properly anymore, so all the recorded footage I took is forever locked into a DVD-R that isnt any particular format and can't be read.
I have some more still photos, but Im heading out for round 2 so I'll see if I can get some more. Im pretty pissed because I had some good footage on that camera. |

Round 2 sucked. We got stuck on the diffs for 2 hours when I slid into some ruts. With all the other trucks gone for the day, we were alone to begin with (not good). We made some headway when a YJ came along when word from some dirt bikers was we were stranded.
All in all it was a good day. My next investment is a hi-lift and some diff guards. Hi-Lift for sure. $15 at the car wash and she still isnt clean. |
