What a shame. - Land Rovers Only

Pulled into a local car care center to get my tires balanced and something imediately caught my eye. In the back corner of thier lot was a D1 with a SD rack. The licence plate had not been renewed since 05. I went inside and asked who it belonged to and what the story was. It turns out some lady owned it and was letting it sit (rot) because of an electrical problem. I left my phone number to see if she wanted to sell me the rack. The guy who runs the shop thought she probably did not. Too bad.

I think they lost the key to the gas door.

Too embarrassing to admit something like that!

wow, all those domestic vehicles and only one discovery with an electrical problem.

five bucks says the guys at the shop couldn't diagnose any problem and still charged her for fiddling around with it.

that is what you get when you dont take your vehicle to a rover shop dealer or independant.

you end up getting screwed cause their door rate was cheaper and you thought you were getting a deal.

Personally I would check all the fitting sizes on that roof rack and do a commando run around 0200 with a D1 and move that rack
