Default why do some people dislike rovers so much.

I was just minding my own business at the gas station filling my truck up when some fj40/fj80 Cruisers drive by and one guy shouts " Rovers Suck" I didn't think much about it but it did make me a little angry. I though to myself why do some people dislike rovers so much. My father has a awesome land cruiser fj-80 but he always comments on how awesome and strong land rovers are. I thought it was really childish. I mean yes rovers aren't perfect (gas wise) but they are definitly just strong and reliable as a cruiser. If not stronger (frame wise and rust)

has this ever happen to anyone else on here.

They hate them for all the reasons why we love them:
gas mileage sux
ugly as sin
looks like a box on wheels
leaks - from everywhere
constantly going haywire and you can never really figure out why
awesome offroad
beautiful beasts
can tackle any terrain
expensive to fix
they don't have one
status symbol to some
LUCAS....need I say more?

Eh, it was probably the normal anguish between the offroad community.. everyone tries to justify that their truck is better.. jeep vs h2 vs xterra vs toyota vs rover etc...

people continue that mindset until they go wheelin' with other people.. we go out with jeep guys a lot and they do realize that our trucks are still capable and have learned to respect them.

I'm confused. You don't need to pull it out in winter, and don't worry about it; they all get small in winter.
