admin suggestions for spammers - Land Rovers Only

Ok so I'm on several boards including this one. I'm with a small local forum back home that uses Vbulletin and we've been getting plagued by internet spammers. It was funny at first with just ads for viagra or crap like that

, but not its to the point that they are posting porn in an attempt to advertise. our admins are deleting them as fast as possible, but its hard cuz they can't keep up with them all.

any ideas how to look into stopping this crap besides IP banning after the fact....

any help would be appreciated/

Ask more questions when initially signing up.. math questions, those color questions where you have to type the letters/numbers, etc...

these aren't computer generated members. these are spammers doing this one at a time. we already have a multi-layered new member policy. initial registration, intro posts, members must be known by members already in the group, must meet us in person within 2 weeks lol. its kinda hard to sign up to our site.
