Let me try to break it into baby words and maybe just maybe you'll get what is being said.

Things like avatars and sigs can be turned off so you DONT have to view them if you dont want to. As long as there is nothing such as penis, or breasts or anything that isnt allowed by law to be exposed out in public than its fine to use as a sig or avatar pic. There is a serious problem when a person posts links to a porn pic showing a guy doing a girl up the ass and a pic of a guy doing a girl from behind and its posted in the off-road section where people like me will veiw those sections with my 8 year-old daughter becuase she likes off-roading. This a family friendly site and if its something that can be viewed out in public it is allowed here, but it isnt such porn then its not allowed. HOW MUCH MORE SIMPLE CAN IT BE SAID???????????????????

Maybe if you got your head out of your ass and took the time to read what has been posted then we wouldnt be having this discussion.

I dont remember seeing that as an avatar on here, but her breasts are cover are they not and if it is a avatar then it can be made to not be viewable. Wolf--I can't see any of the pics anymore, so do as you like. I have trouble with people making hypocritical statements about children, etc. I don't have any kids, so *I* am the one who would rather not see those photos...mostly because I choose only to look at LR websites (not sites with pics of scantily-clad women!) and because I often peruse them at work.

Though some try to hide thier sexual conservitve, prudish and dare i say austere anxiety behind the convenient "CLASSY" title, i am mature and metaly unconfined enough to enjoy and bath in the beauty of a woman, any female i have posted has not been in a comprimising , or degrading position that would insult any mild mannered lady. In fact- i would be hard pressed to find any pic truly offensive on this forum, the Moderators have done an outstanding job
If a bikini clad young lady offends thee or as you say "scantily-clad women" then a web site dedicated to a whole bunch of people who like gears, mud and off roading, might not be the most wise choice.
Roverlady i enjoy your posts and your input, and value ALL women who come here, even more so then the guys, because being a LRO head is sterotypicaly a "guy" thing, and for you to be here, shows an outstanding degree of dedication. But part of the dynamic of this forum, and what keeps me addicted to it, is the eclectic and fun collection of people, and what they have to contribute.
if it were ALL; how to change brake pads, and fix roof racks, it would be damn boaring, and i would not have a sticker on my truck .

I think picture avatars are interesting, but I don't get the point of the ones that are selected (by the poster) that don't either define who they are, or have at least something to do with their Rover. Same with Sig line pics, though I don't think it's necessary to have a facility for both. Pick one or the other, this site isn't meant to be a place for movie trailers. The other thing about the sig lines is that some take up Way too much room, expounding on personal philosophy, other websites, or, one of my favorites; all the cars they currently, and previously have owned, not to mention lists of other non-pertinant personal possessions. I could use 16 lines to list the cars I actually own, have title too, and sometime even drive. I could use a few more to list some of my favorite non ROVER things, and my wife might want me to list her new electric can opener and really cool sewing machine. If I listed the ones I used to own, A) I'd start to cry, B) No one would bother to read to the end, C) What I "used" to own Is neither a statement on my personal taste, intelligence, or financial wellbeing; and lastly, I don't need to look at the proof that my wife does, in fact wield some influence over me.

Still I like that we Can have them, have some choice in their selection, and are not restricted to picking some silly packaged animation.

And Wolf, You know, removing the dancer may have appeased some, but now you have potentially taken on the crackheads, and I'd rather a bitchslapping contest with another bunch of wired car junkies, than a sixpack of crackheads, hell you just can't reason with them.
