I'm curious. I know that we have a special section that provides live links to Ebay items related to Land Rover items. My question is about listing links to Ebay auctions in the For Sale section of the board.
There have been a few direct links to Ebay auctions appearing in the For Sale section. Is this acceptable and if so, is there a policy regarding how many links to Ebay may be left in the For Sale section? I know that such links are frowned on in other places like LRX.com and Dweb (just to name a couple). When I checked the "read first" post at the top of the For Sale section I saw no such restriction here. I have an Ebay Store and regularly have between 100 and 200 Land Rover items up for sale. I have well over 2000 positive feedbacks and an overall rating of 97.7%. I have conducted business with numerous LRO members as well. It would be great to generate attention for all of my auctions by posting direct links here on LRO but I have not done so because of the Live Ebay Link section and my experince with other boards and there reluctance to have their For Sale section turned into little more than a link to Ebay. If LRO has no policy with regard to posting auctions or finds it to be a positive feature of the For Sale section then I will begin to list a number of the items I have up for auction. If LRO does have a policy that does not look favorably on the posting of links to Ebay I would certainly understand and would expect action whenever a member posts such a link. I am more than willing to accept whatever decision the LRO moderators decide. Frankly, I would prefer not having to sift through numerous For Sale links that are nothing more than auctions (they are not quite the same thing in my opinion). But if it is the policy of LRO that such posts are acceptable, I have many that I can list immediately. As I said above, it would benefit me by creating more exposure but would it benefit LRO in the long run? Please help me by posting an official policy about listing links to Ebay in the For Sale section. Thanks, Paul Grant Ebay User Name: spupilup |

Paul,
there is now a section where you can post a link to your ebay store/auctions http://www.landroversonly.com/forums...splay.php?f=53

That's perfect John, I just posted a link to my store.
I think this is the best way to keep the For Sale section what it really is, while offering an opportunity for member in the community to establish a connection with their Ebay Store. I wish the other boards offered a similar arrangement. |

Lest Paul sell himself short his feedback score is 99.7 not the 97.7 he mentioned.
