I dont know...I was thinking of doing this also...not for LRO, but for a local club. The thing is....its suprising how many people with rovers seriously dont care.....have no interest in wheeling thier 'rig'. Also keep in there are also those who are interested but have no computer skillZ.
Yeah for the most part I found that to be a waste of time from my experience doing it..

I get the same notion from other LR drivers that I see around Lima and Plymouth; they just drive them. To better put it in one way, they put gas in it and, well that's really the only fluid they would put in it and leave the technical to someone else.
Although I know of one owner who lives in Plymouth, my home town, and he owns two Discos, and I wonder if he is an enthusiast. Hmmm....

I will keep that in mind Josh. However, he/she might feel awkward to see another person with another Land Rover, preferably because, like you and I, we are almost too young to be driving LR's. But who cares?
I might stop on by, but be casual about it, not to make them think I am selling Girl Scout cookies or something.

hehe...limit the info too...at least right away, unless he digs it.
I could just see in one sentence how you could come off wrong..."Hi, my name is Pat....I am a land rover enthusiast and I am on a land rover forum and I own a RRC...did you know that stands for "range rover classic"....are you an enthusiast?...cause I am.....I noticed you owned two discovery IIs....we call them "discos"....so about this forum I am on, its called landroversonly.....or "LRO", the website is landroversonly.com....you dont need the "www", also I have a sticker for you so you can put it on one of your "Disco IIs" and go off roading with me....I hope you like to go off-roading....btw, have you done any mods to yours?...why do you own two....is one your trail rig?...oh yeah, my name is RageRover on LRO......I put the lights on, it was an easy process.....I suggest you get an RTE bumper....maybe RTE lift too, or you could go OME, or even something else.....have you been looking at the different types of lifts?....nevermind...or "nm" in "forum speak", you will have to learn the "forum speak"--err....online talk....whatever you want to call it....I am specifically interested in lockers...mabye ARB....maybe go with a detriot locker in the rear, what do you think? .....are you following all this?? Hey, by the way...thats "btw" is forum speak.....I never caught your name"...

LOL....I think by the time you got to the part about "forum speak" his brain would be melted.
naw....just ring the doorbell and introduce yourself and mension you noticed he had two discoverys and if he corrects you and says, "they are Discovery IIs..." then you have your man. Once you get past the idea that you also have a land rover and he seems to like them then the conversation will take its path. No worries.....if he is a good guy he might invite you in and talk....
....just watch out if he says he is very lonely and offers you candy
