Arrow Helping those that need help

My local S2000 club will be doing something for our friends and families of those that have lost everything or have been just devastated in the New Orleans/Gulf Coast area.

I've been watching the news for the last few days and I just can't imagine going through something like that. I'm home sitting on my nice soft couch, in front of the AC watching TV, playing on the internet... while in the Gulf coast area there are families trying to figure out how there going to feed there families tonight and tomorrow, knowing they have nothing left... Makes me sad in the heart...

So I would like to do something as an online group to help them out.

We all live around the world in this forum, and anyway I just wanted to put this out there and see what you guys/girls thought.

Cheers,
-John

Sounds awsome..........my wife is an Emergency Room RN here in Dallas and she is leaving tomorrow to head down there with a group to relieve the others that have been working 48 + hours, and have not even been able to go and check on their houses etc. Maybe if there is a paypal account we can use, people can donate whatever they feel they can, and it can be donated to the Red Cross or something.

I'll set up a paypal account for people to send money to. We'll have to decide as a group where it should be sent to or if we would like to buy supplies and send it down. We can make a list of stuff to buy and I'll take the money and fill up the back of the truck and the roof rack with supplies for those in need... well a few anyway.

Cool...........maybe stuff for the kids. Books, crayons, stuffed animals, etc. It usually does not take alot to make a kid happy that has gone through something like this. It would also help the parents who trying to figure out what is next.

count me in for that! I feel the same way as you Serg, and I'm sure many other people. I want to do what I can. If I didn't have school right now, I would go out and buy a snorkel, waterproof my engine, tape my doors up, and head on down there to help search and rescue in places that i could. But donating seems to be the best solution for me right now. Also, lets donate to some bounty hunters to pop those looters off. I was brought up to believe that a theif is the scum of the earth that feeds off other people's hard work.
