Logo design for this site.. anyone??? - Land Rovers Only

I am looking for input for a logo design for the site to replace the picture I have in the upper left hand corner of every page now.

I was thinking of using the Land Rover Special Vehicles logo and changing the text.. (anyone know where I can find a pic of that online to download and Photoshop?)

Anyhow, if anyone has any other ideas or suggestions, I am all ears.

Hi Serg. I do this kind of thing all the time so it would not be a problem for me to knock up a few ideas based on a special vehicle badge. Leave it with me and I will have a go.

...Might be a bit of a squeeze getting the s in the Landrover badge but I will have a go.

I think it would definitely look better with the “.com” added to the “only”. As for the colours, the picture that I had to work with was of very poor quality-your picture shows the colours more clearly. Changing the colour will a breeze.

Just a note though, the badge I was working with was an enamelled aluminium item, not a sticker-hence the 3D effect.

Cool.. yeah I was thinking that if you moved the "Rover" and the little arrow, a bit to the left you could fit in an "s"

If you could make the colors match that would be great, I think I would prefer a non aluminized look... No rush, take your time. I really appreciate this!!

And holy crap.. hey folks.... look at the July issue of Land Rover Monthly.. page 172. looks familiar??..we have a celebrity here! Seriously, I thought your drawing looked familiar. Congratulations on winning the professional category David! You have some great skills!

The other thing I was thinking of, was using this:

Adding an "S" to "Rover" and then on the bottom just having is say "only.com" where it says "Station Wagon" or... having it say "only.com" where it says "4 wheels drive" and "forums" where it says "Station Wagon"

If I could only figure out what the Land Rover font is!!!!!

I have incorporated the ideas you mentioned and come up with these two designs.

I have done my best with the added “S” but as no computerized font exists that is a match the “Land Rover” text, I had to draw it up from scratch. I think you might struggle to match the font on your badge too. I can have a go using that badge design if you wish. Its no problem.

The beauty of using 3D CAD to do the designs is that you can create any font or shape you want. Plus I can create just about any material finish. You want the whole shooting match gold plated? Made of teak? Limestone? Not a problem!

I personally reckon the one with the 3D effect badge with the chrome border works best.

No probs. I will have a go with the other badge but that one will take a little more time as I will have to scratch draw each letter. Plus, as its 2:00 in the morning here in the UK, I wont be starting it straight away!

Leave it with me and I will see what I can come up with.

Perhaps when you have gathered all your possible designs together, you could post a poll.
