Site updates - Land Rovers Only

Well I have been a busy guy the last few days...

First of all I have FINALLY made a front page... so now enter via www.landroversonly.com as that page will feature news, info and has links to evertything here.
The Links page is up and running.. so submit your personal links to me!!
Press Release page is up.

That's about it for now... I have lots more to do, but that is for a later time..

Reconfigured front page as it was not working correctly with smaller resolution formats.

Added a Headlines section... will try to post new headlines on front page daily...

As far as the links go, I will take personal links for now.. but that might change down the road.. not sure yet...

No problem.. I realize that a members picture section might be cool, I just don't have the time to implement that now.

More updates:

Yesterday I sent out copies of my press release to over 8000 targeted Land Rover/Automotive companies and magazines.... hopefully that will bring in some more traffic. If I can just get one of the big Land Rover Magazines to give me a little play in their "editorial" section... that would rock. I am sending the LR mags a hard copy of the Page Ranking as well..

Serg, doing some good work here! Congrats.

As for members rides, consider installing this plugin for VBulletin, its vbgarage http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=63681 .. one of my friends actually was the initial developer of it.. lots of sites are running it and its pretty nice. If you ever need any help with design/development of anything let me know.

Have you tried seeing if landrover itself will allow to print up some information that they can keep in the service departments of their dealerships? Might bring in some more people.

Today I finally installed an ad server system I was dreading to put in (I thought it would be too complicated to implement...it wasn't!).. so you will no longer see the animated banner slide show on your upper right, instead you will see banners displayed in this spot based on a complex algorithm.. right now it is just 2 banners... (hurry up John C and get me the new smaller banner I need!)

Several people were asking what happened to the Google search box.. so I brough it back... at the end of each post is a Google search box. I find it usefull especially if you read a post about some item and want to do a search on it.. plus I set it up to show the results in a new page. That way you won't have to leave LRO...
