First, I love the site- you guys do a great job and provide a great service. Truly appreciated from this Disco owner.
Second, I hope this is the appropriate place to post this (as opposed to the Disco threads)...but I'd love to see a page "tacked" to the top of the Discovery thread that provides your (the experts) best advice on "Maintenance for Dummies". e.g., recommended antifreeze (orange) and how often it should be flushed, recommend oil, etc. Really, just a list of things that the random owner can do to prolong the life of the Disco. I'm sure this is a ton of work and a pain in the butt, but I thought this would be the best place to post it. I've looked around and don't see a page like that, but I do see a ton of posts related to maint. Just a thought. Finally, I don't see a link to "donate" to the site. Is that possible? |

Seems like a cool idea for a fast source of FAQ info. Except I don't run those sections.

The suggestion is a good one. In fact I've often thought we should have a Tech Section, no doubt along with others on this forum. I'll carry the suggestion to the Moderators Lounge and see if we can get it attached.

i always thought that would b a good thing to have. it could have a tune up list and specs on fluids and etc for each rover. good for people that r new to the rover world and just bought one or looking for one.
also i asked serg sometime back and thought it would be nice to have a indy LR shop listing for the states and overseas. it would take sometime to gather info but i always read someone looking for a good LR shop. also it would b great for when someone is taking a road trip and could get some names of shops on the route.

Just an update.. thank you for the suggestion. We are talking about this on the moderators side of the board, trying to figure out the best way to approach it. Please keep any suggestions coming!
