I don't know if its possible or if anyone has does it but..I was wondering if anyone has heard of putting a new Range Rover Sport Supercharged or HSE supercharged engines being put in a Discovery I or II. The thought just popped into my head when I was at my buddy's shop with 3 Disco I's and a Disco II with blown head gaskets and a cracked block...
Also, Any engines you guys highly recommend for transplant in a 2004 Disco II (in the US)?
Rimmer used to make a supercharger for V8 rovers. Not sure if they still do or how they work but if it aint broke, dont fix it. 4.6 is a pretty good ole motor. Gordo
I have a P1SC procharger supercharger kit laying in my garage from my last car (2005 Mustang v6 Supercharged, 350rwhp+), and i've been dying for the whine and whistle of boost for a while. too bad disco's don't have the room for a centrifugal supercharger lol. (btw the supercharger is for sale)
My 89 RRC with the 3.9 (basically the same engine) has over 300k. If you dont overheat it and keep the oil changed, that 4.6 will last for a VERY long time. Try to make it up to the Land Rover Rally in FL next month. See the link in my sig. gordo
