Looks like LR will be using an electric engine in conjunction with a bio-diesel capable engine to maximize efficiancy and capability. Pretty interesting.

I am looking forward to LR bringing over diesles. Not too keen on the idea of an electric engine but as long as there's a power plant that keeps the rover moving forward I guess it will do.
Imagine raiding McDonalds to power your rover.

LR has some information on their web page, www.landrover.com seems like a concept car thing at present but worth keeping an eye on. I wonder if we'll see any of this on the new Defender.
