G'day to all.Well where do I begin, ok my dear women is English so I was a marked man. Jenny hated everything in motoring alas British cars.One day i bought her a v8 disco 2 ,got me lucky for a while anyway it grew on me the Landy that is.I must confess I now looove LR so, time for a new car and all I wanted was a HSE .The lovely wife said no because it would not be practicle to go around OZ through the simpson up to Cape York shooting camping fishing in a HSE my dissapointment.Collecting my shatterd heart off the floor I turned back to Land Rover and bought a Defender 2001 td5 Extreme.So the question or questions are is this the right choice.The car is ready this week for pick up what should I look out for in this particular car. This car has 100,000 km paid 31,100.00 drive away great general apperance. Please help me because I am a real terror in the sense I can destroy anything buy pushing things to exhaustion comes with the job bricklaying.Any help on tips or ideas with these cars will greatly be appreciated.Like does and dont's

You lucky bastard (before you guys in the US start flaming me, in Oz this is a term of endearment)! If I were to buy another LR this would be my choice. The only thing that it doesn't have that I know of is airbags, but who needs them in a defender anyway.
