another radio code question - Land Rovers Only

got my 95 disco today and lovin it.. except for the deafening silence. got my code from the dealership.. did the whole "idle for an hour" thing. put in the code... nothing. put it in again, and then the word "code" flashes on and off the screen.... and does nothing else. what am i supposed to do when it flashes at me?

Apparently isn't the right code.

Get the serial number off the radio and call the dealer back. Sometimes the radio gets swapped out so the VIN information wouldn't match up.
