this last comment of mine was a joke. i don't give a f*** about what people think of my idea of tinting my rear turn signals. I think it will look good (and in my opinion, better than stock). I don't care if other people think it will be "cool" or not, i just care if it looks good to me. I appreciate yall's help and opinions, and i do understand the visibility/safety factor of it all. I'm not talking about making my taillights/turn signal section BLACK, i'm just talking about added a small amount of tinting to it.

I went in entirely the opposite direction with my 110, as the standard (UK spec) lights are atrocious
Plus, I twinned up the tails for even more visibility (top pair are tail/brake, lower pair are tail/fog)

yeah, i have a handful of defender taillights. When I buy a roof rack I'm thinkng of putting a set or two of the tail/fogs onto the roofrack and wire them in with my factory lights. smoking my taillights is tooo much trouble for me at the moment. maybe next summer.

Sorry, should have added that the replacements are the (as we call them) 'NAS' sized; 97mm against 73mm

You can even see the difference in the translucency of the lens in this image

I actually make tail overlays for the Disco 2's (we used our '04 as an example). We have smoke and red overlays for them. Here are some pics of the red overlays installed over the orange section of the tails on our '04 Disco II.
