I have the ARB on my D2 and LOVE IT! Looks like a moose calling horn. I have always had a very positive experience when dealing with ARB, the president of the company (USA Office) is an amazing man to work with.

The Mantec is nice if you are concerned with looks (i.e. more discreet versus the ARB is very noticeable). My only caveat with the ARB is that it is turning white, which very well could be my fault. I wax the car a lot, and have not been very careful to watch for the snorkel. However I fixed this issue with some Armor All products. I can post pics tomorrow.

Go for looks then check the price. A water tight tube that allows air to flow from point A to point B is just a tube that allow air to flow from point A to point B.

Mantec are easier to insall on D1s than a Safari snorkel. BUT...if you do manage to chip the mantec's powdercoating (which I already have) you must care for it immidiately as the metal will rust rapidly.

Oh and yeah..Mantec were on Camel Discos so it adds a bit more of an effect..lol

I've heard of rusting issues with the Mantecs.
The ARB's are sturdy as hell but a bit more common. No way you'll hurt the ARB.

Have a Mantec on my DII, no problems with it.

Dont like the looks of the ARB Safari Snorkel, the Mantec is neater IMHO

Southdown makes a nice SS snorkel that you can also paint black. Just a thought.
