ARB has taken too long to ship me a bumper from Australia so I cancelled my order. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for another bumber that may be a bit less in price but will still do the job. Looking for offroad bumber not a replacement for stock or plastic/fiberglass of any sort. Making some repairs right now so not sure how much i will have left over from the arb funds.

Actually, consider it good news! There are much better choices out there.. For ultimate offroad durability, consider a RoverTym bumper (www.rovertym.com) .. if you like the more stockish look, look at a TJM (I ordered my old one from www.4x4connection.com .. but I believe www.dap-inc.com sells them now too)

I ran 33" tires with a 3" lift and a TJM bumper with plenty of room. It's a nice looking bumper, just not that sturdy. It doesn't have recovery points unless you have the winch tray and with the crush cans it can move around on you.
If the terrain you wheel on (say, the mall ) is not that bad the TJM will be fine. Just make sure you have front recovery options.

Too bad about the ARB situation. I have an ARB bumper and love it. Although, if i had to do it over I probably would have gone with a RoverTym bumper. I know you don't care for RTE but I would seriously consider RTE if you wheel your rover. Atlantic British also offers a bumper for a DII that only runs like $650 or something.

If your truck ever sees the trail, go RTE. Otherwise, Phlawed, you'll be saying the same thing... ![]()

SafariGard... RTEs are practically the same thing, with more options and much better service...but the SG is just as good as an RTE so if you come across a used one for a good deal, dont be afraid to jump on it.

Sell it and get a 94-95 D1 or an older RRC. They are easier to work on. My advice is if you cant wrench on your own rover, get a toyota.
Oh yeah and dont waste your money on an ARB, dunno know about the TJM, but the ARBs bend very easily and the recovery points are very weak.

up to 2100 in repairs total engine dissassembled. They said the anti freeze had settled for too long and went bad over time in certian places causing some corosion. So all gaskets have been replaced/thermostat/waterpump. So im broke for the next few months. Stupid land rovers.
