This isnt on the list but Saturday I had a Bullbar bumper from Kennesaw Mountain Accessories installed on my '00 Disco 2...He made the bumpers and roof rack and sliders for my 88 woody.
I put it up Saturday afternoon for sale. (Shameless plug I know.) back to the topic at hand. My bumper has two 90mm Hella Low beam modules built in and a winch mount and a light bar for two more aux lights. The quality seems to be good. Though I've nothing much to compare it too. Bumper and everything installed was only $800. Much cheaper than the others that I've looked at. I will have picutres of it up later today or this week, depending upon when I get it cleaned up. |

Definitely post up pics. For that price, I'd just get the RTE as it's so close. But more variety is always a good thing. Can't wait to see how it turned out!

That's a good one. My all time personal favorites are "Do I need to upgrade my axles to fit 35" tires?" and who can forget "whats best, spring retainers or dislocation cones?".If you missed the "Discussion" so far let me give you a brief summery. A number of opinions and experiences were offered as to the best bumper to buy on the short list. Then the issue of Air Bags came up........you can go ahead and skip a few pages now if you like. The properties of round tubing as opposed to square was briefly mentioned. Then it gets a little hazy, one post is about Darwin, the next, G force (is that the same as a G spot?). Something about the Bible!!! An attempt from some some neutral parties to lighten the mood is made, but, sadly to no avail. Lots of name calling and grammar correction. Anyway, it all ends in the same way as all the other debates on the forum. The two (or more) opposing folks argue for so long about so much that in the end they almost agree! However, both sides leave the debate thoroughly frustrated with the others lack of ability to "see the light" and depart from active participation with the "classic" words of wisdom, "You have to asses your own needs and choose the... (insert product in question here).... that is best for you" You just gotta love on-line debate! Hope this helps.

Kennesaw Mtn bumper......He, the owner, was making our bumpers at the same time. I wondered who was getting it. Now I know. How does yours look?
I just had mine mounted a week ago Monday. Mounted on 4/14/08. ![]() ![]() Obviously, I haven't dropped a winch into it yet. (Nor lights for that matter) I have been looking for one as time goes forward so don't go buying one out from under me on ebay, craiglist, etc. ![]()
