Default Factory Amp Help!

Ok, so i just went to put a cd player in my first range rover, and learned about the factory amp...and learned that i ned to completely bypass it to get a cd player to work right.

Can anyone tell me how i would go about doing this without paying best buy / circuit city a million dollars like they want?

its a 1990 Ranger Classis

Thanks!

Very easy. All you need is some speaker wire (I don't remember how much, but 50' should do it). All you're doing is wiring the new radio straight to the speakers. W/ the harness that came w/ the radio, it should have a wiring diagram w/h lists which wires go to what speaker. Simply attach your new wires to the harness, then run them all the way to the proper speaker (D-front, P-rear, etc). For the front doors, trace back the wires from the speakers, then cut and splice them on the kick plate inside the truck, that way you won't have to run a wire through the little rubber tube into the door. The rears should be straightforward, it's not too difficult to hide wires under the carpets in the range rover.
Good luck!
Cheers,

Still cant find the pic's (within my 14,000 pics, it's a wonder I can find a pic of a rover), but here is the wires you need to pick up in the harness, at the amp in the kick panel.

Left Front plus tweeter – Black/Brown -, Black/White +

Right Front plus tweeter – Black/Red -, Black/Pink +

Left Rear – Black/Orange -, Black/Yellow +

Right Rear – Black/Blue -, Black/Green +

Just pull the fuse in the Amp, or remove it totally. It's junk.
