Nice, all Disco's should be wearing a thong..

I saw one painted pink, really gave the thong effect!

They're one of the worst guards you can get as they reduce your ground clearance. I have spent a lot of time and money increasing the diff clearance. A lot of it would be undone fitting one of those. The only part of the diff you need to protect is the front bowl, not underneath.

May need to improve your line when working the trail. They are one of the better diff guards on the market cause they prevent the front, the under side and the flange/u-joint, not sure how you can beat that.

You should have fitted the front one on the rear as well.
What do you think you are protecting with it going underneath. The metal under there is more than enough to take the full weight of the vehicle without damage.

I know its strong enough Ian, i've already rested my trucks weight on its axles on logs. but why not? my clearance was effected minimally, my rear part of the diff is protected, and the front flange is protected by the skid-plate portion of the guard. that extra bit of metal underneath may never save my ass or it could, but its there, its staying on my truck and that is that. You don't like the design, but its regarded quite highly by many for a bolt on guard and the construction is much cleaner and more substantial than the rover's north diff guard i welded on in the front. The welds are immaculate on the QT and all the lines are as precise as you can get with plate steel.
