several weeks ago I tore a bunch of old accessory wiring out of my '92 RRC. the wires were ones that had been run for offroad lights by previous owners.
after pulling the wires the radio stopped working. grrrr. some investigating turned out that the radio would work, only when the headlights were on though. with several speakers blown, and the stock amp in bad shape, I decided to have an after market radio installed with its own wiring harness so it would work without the headlights. That is now done. Now the radio works, but the headlights have ceased to function. parking lights still come on with the light switch, but no headlights. ![]() ![]() ![]() this is annoying.

that sucks monkey balls....but at the same time its very amusing to a third party like myself.
remember, don't let your rover hear you talking smack about her.....it always comes back to bite you

Awww sorry that happened, they can be finicky....buy her something pretty and stroke her, tell her you are sorry. If that doesn't work you can call her the C word - the previous works with my rover and in that order...

aaron, you are awesome! just went out to check, and sure enough, now with the car running the lights work!
not sure why they changed to working this way, but if they work, I am happy. Whew, that will save me a bunch of troubleshooting.

yep, and whoever did previous radio work on this wasnt. looks like the constant for the radio had been hooked up through the headlights. that explains why theyd come on without the key before. oh my.

Go Aaron! He is the man at times. I figured it was just Rover revenge for you thinking about selling. They don't like leaving home, you know.
