Default I'm thinking ARB for a bumper BUT.............

Okay folks I know Rovertym is the ONE and it's approach/strength is unbeatable. However I saw this ARB on a this Disco and it was trimmed. To me It looked pretty damn good what are Thoughts.

Go with RoverTym.. I think when you trim down the ARB you lose a lot of the strength it has.. the rovertym is so f'ing solid.. I had a TJM first, now i'm on my RTE, I wish I went with RTE first.

The ARB would probably still rotate with heavy winching. RTE is more solid.

if you compare the trimmed ARB and RTE, go with RTE.

as for me, I'd go for TJM

Have you looked at the safari gard bumper? Its solid and has a great approach angle as well. Its priced high but you get what you pay for.

You might be thinking of Equipe and SafariGard being the same- or at least similar. RTE is different from either of them.

Jarrell....what the hell is wrong with you? ARB? WTF man? ARB takes away your approach angle. You will constantly hit the winch on the rocks. I know how you wheel. You wheel alot like I do. You will regret getting an ARB. Go RTE or even check out MoFab's new front bumper. Trust me dude, do not go ARB!

ps - I answered your Blue Lakes question over on LRR. I am heading up that Saturday morning if you want to drive up together. I will have the little woman and the boys plas all our gear so I will be fully loaded!

Trail change...it is now the Niagara Rim trail. We will do Blue Lakes another weekend. We'll see what GotRovr, Frank, and Tony have open for September.

I have both the TJM T-17 and the T-15....Personally I would go RTE. Since the truck with the T-17 is a DD (and is being sold for a MB) I have never wheeled it per se, nonetheless I would recommend the RTE for all the reasons listed above.

Now the T15 has a *decent approach angle* HOWEVER it is a pain to get the bumper off when you buy the winch tray. Couple that with putting the winch in ect..major headache. If you go TJM buy the winch tray with the bumper then install the bumper.

That white Disco is a beauty though, it looks like Marcus's old Disco out of FLA.
