2004 Discovery II driver
|
I just installed 8000K McCulloch HIDs in my factory foglight housings of my 2004 Land Rover Discovery II SE7. Took me some time due to the washer fluid tank on the driver side, but they turned out pretty good. Photos are on www.cardomain.com/ride/2650472/, check it out tell me what you think.

The "K" rating does not have anything to do with brightness. The higher the number the lower the light output, but not noticeable. It is to do with the colour spectrum of the globe. 8,000K is getting near a purple colour, where around 5,000K is the clour of natural daylight. But I suppose it is about the look you are going for.

How's your cut off line now? has it changed or did you have to re-align anything? I think HID's are the best bang for the buck when it comes to good lighting. I don't know if I ever could go back to halogens...
