Again exactly as the manual states. If it stayed lock during the turn you would "Bark" the rear tyre.

Alright, The only thing you reckon you have me on is that I said there is no "O" rings in the airline between the Compressor and the Diff, and you reckon there is.
That's right, I'm right. You're wrong.

Quote:
You are so full of shit with your photos. First off the rover diff you photo does not have the standard fitting on it. It has a fitting required for the heavy duty hose.
That's right. But you fail to understand, again, that the HD air-line kit is an add on. The O-ring is not included with this kit.

Well, I take that back. They very well may include an extra O-ring with the kit, I can't remember. BUt I know for a fact my locker came with an O-ring to go in this spot, right out of the box.

Quote:
You say that because the end of it is curved it means that it must have a "O" attached to it. Again bullshit, it means that the pipe bolted to it is flared.
Other end, retard.

Quote:
Then you post a picture of a NON_ROVER diff with a pipe hanging out the top and a "O" ring sitting there. You are really full of it. At least post a photo of a Rover diff. Now the "O" ring sitting there proves nothing. You are also splitting hairs as to whether the "O" ring is part of the air line as you first quoted. It is actually part of the diff fittings.
Am I really going to have to take my truck apart to shut you the fuck up?

Quote:
But you can half a point for your bullshit. ARB do make one fitting that has an "O" ring where you state. But it is for diff locks with the narrower copper pipe inside the diff. But ONLY ONE connection type to the diff has an “O” ring, all the rest have a copper ferrule. That is 4 out of 5 are copper, not "O" rings. I have the copper type and so have all other ROVER diffs that I have seen. Here are all the fitting types.
http://www.arbusa.com/alac/alsp/4-01.pdf
This shows the other end of the line and you will note that there is no “O” ring listed as a part, except for the internals of the solenoid, That is, nothing on the air line. So why do they list all the other "O" rings and just miss out the one that you reckon is there? Simple, it is not!!
http://www.arbusa.com/alac/alsp/5-07.pdf
But you showed a heavy duty airline kit. This is NOT part of the standard diff lock setup, so now you want to bring in optional extras to support your argument, but all the parts are listed here:
http://www.arbusa.com/alac/alsp/4-02.pdf
But again no “O” listed as a part.
Post pictures of your set-up, Ian! If you would have installed your diffs (if you even have them) you would know there is an O-ring there.

Quote:
So that is the only thing that you reckon you have proved me wrong on.
Yes. This is correct. I proved you wrong.

Quote:
The other bullshit photos also prove nothing. Just because you have 4.6 written on top of your motor does not make it one. Mine has 3.5 on the tappet covers. All you can tell from the photo is that it has 4 bolt mains. The only way by photo to prove it is a 4.6 is to show the stamp on the crank. So full it out and put it beside your "Junk", pull off the sump and take a photo of the 4.6 stamp.
Oh jeez.

Quote:
In regard to your other bullshit about ARB stating that flicking the switch will "immediately" engage or disengage the locker, Take a photo of it and prove it or just put it with the rest of the crap you put out.
LOL. Take a pictures of a moving operation? If I post a picture of a clock, can you tell me if it's working?

Quote:
I do not know why I bother to post this as you will only come up with some crap like the manufacturer doesn't know their own product.
Real World experence, Ian.

I cooked a taco in the microwave yesterday. It say "2-minutes on High". I cooked the taco for 2-minutes. When I got the taco out, it had a cold center. I had to cook the taco for another 45-seconds on high. Next time i cook a taco in the microwave, I will cook it for 2 minutes and 45 seconds, even though the instructions say to only cook the taco for 2-minutes. Now, who is right on the cooking time for a warm taco? Me, or the manufacturer?

Quote:
Eaton have said that you are wrong on EVERY point you have raised about the DT, but you have your head so far up your arse that you honestly think you know more than them. You are so thick that you must be from down south.
Keep reading on the Internet, Ian. The Internet will tell you everything you need to know in life.

Quote:
And why we are at it, I look up the course you did for your ambulance license. I reviewed the course timeframe, participant books, instructors books. It spends more time worrying about doing the proper paperwork than any driving technique and it goes for less time than the course I did to become a Marshal. At least mine was 4WD related and yours has nothing to do with it. So go back to your volunteer search and rescue ambulance, which they may let you sit behind the wheel occasionally.
You said driving course. Did you mean "off-road driving course"? Since you were talking about taking turns on the street, under power, I thought you were refering to on-road driving. Which is it, Ian? On or off-road?

I can tell you everything about the class I took. You would not have even needed to look it up. But, please post a link so I can review it, too! I would like a refreasher.

Quote:
Stop the bullshit and at least try and stick to the thing that you know nothing about. That is, a DT.
Look aroung you, Ian. You're out in left field all alone.

Quote:
But this is definitely the last response to your attempts to sidetrack things and avoid answering any questions.
Avoided? LOL. Where are those pictures, Ian?

Quote:
Why haven't you faked an email from Eaton saying that their diffs stayed locked when driving through a corner. Dickhead!!!
Want me to send them an e-mail, too? I will!

Ian, you are so ridiculously stupid. You are so stupid that you don't even realize how stupid you are. For fucks sake, stop already. How many times do you need to be proven that you are wrong?

You have got to be fucking with us, or in particular hank. You have to just be doing this to see how far hank will go to prove himself right again, and again, and again. You have to be because nobody in the history of web forums has displayed such idiocy before.

The reason I tend to think you're fucking with us is that you have refused 9 pages of requests to show us your truck. Every pic that hank posts further displays that he actually knows what he's talking about and that he can prove it.

Plus there are an awful lot of people that can attest to his abilities and knowledge through either personal experience or online interactions. You don't seem to have anyone, ( besides JimFoo who has conveniently disappeared from this), that will support you. No one who can attest to your experience or knowledge. Nobody has any evidence that you even own a vehicle.

You are either king of the dipshits or king of the antagonizers, either way you are an asshole.

Keep it up, because soon I am going to have to nominate this for the all-time, all-web forum, Hall of Fame. Heck, I am already adding it to the nominations for the D-Web Hall of Fame.

I have disappeared as this discussion has grown to so many different arguments about so many different things, and it has gone on so long, I don't see the need to put my opinion in and propagate it further. Nothing new is being said other than new personal insults, which I won't take part in. But it is entertaining none the less. Plus I don't support everything Ian is saying anyway. I was only commenting about the Detroit in a corner under power.

Umm....so I have a question about a Detroit Locker and this seems to be the place to have it answered.

So while driving when is a Detroit Locker locked and not locked?

I've started my own 6x6 RR conversion. I'll use a Detroit Locker in the new rear axle and I'll have both bases covered ARB/ARB/DL!

Do you think I'll get the rear tires to chirp or bark? I like dogs more than birds, but I think the chirp would be less intrusive. I love going around corners.

Actually yes. But only if your name is Ian and you have the model that does not lock during turns.

Yes, they used to make one for the front. I say used to because I simply dont know if they still do, but there used to be 2 different part numbers for a front unit and a rear unit.

May be you are Hank, I am not sure, but you certainly post like him. Claim that I have been proved wrong, yet can't show one example. Hank has been proved wrong on every point by the people you designed it, make it and sell it. Even people that post their experiences to support him actually prove him wrong.

You attempt to do exactly the same thing and make some stupid comment and divert the conversation away to something else. How long did your tacho take to cook? What bullshit is that? One from a person that has been proven wrong on every point. He can't find anything to back up anything he says except some support from people as stupid as himself.

In regard to photos of the my Rangie, Hank actually found the video of my Rangie that I posted. So stop with the crap diversions.

Just answer the basic question. Does a DT unlock going through a Corner? The answer is yes on every occasion when you have traction to both wheels.

Oooooooooooooooo-kay now. You are totally delusional (delusional - Definitions from Dictionary.com .

Take a deep breath, rub your forehead and count to ten as you exhale and read this: Not everyone who posts to this thread is hank. Not everyone who posts here is his sycophant.

I know that this is not the proper therapeutic environment to work through some of these problems you're having, but it is important for you to realize that everyone here, (including JimFoo - I kinda' figured that's why you disappeared), is trying to help you understand. You must relax.

Again, try re-reading this thread while keeping in what's left of your weak mind that traction and power are not the same thing.

And go seek professional help, please.

CVC,
You're referring to the True Track, not the soft locker. I think Ryan was referring to the soft locker.

Ian,
Do you believe in aliens, too?

You sure have a lot of fantastic ideas. Quite comical, actually. CaptainRuss is actually me? Hahaha. You're digging, Ian.

Admit you're wrong.
Admit you have no knowledge of the Detroit locker
Admit that you're a dumbass.
