I have heard of a company in california that is making offroad bumpers but i cant find the name of the company. i would just like an affordable low profile front bumper for added clearance. i just dont want to spend the dough for an ARB and no has any TJM bumpers to sell. i have a 2000 disco II w/ 2 inch OME lift and 265/75/16 Maxxis mud tires. i have removed the front bumper for clearance but it looks bad and surely is not safe either.

Or you can find a Fab shop in your area and have them build one up for you.
A simple yet strong design that will fit your budget.

What do you consider "affordable" that is sort of a subjective term. Plus there is a huge range on bumpers from $400-$1,200+. You can get a basic RTE blade bumper nothing fancy just the winch tray and recovery points. No light bar or anything for $675. That is what I put on mine.

You might want to try RTE, http://www.rovertym.com/, they build a great bumper. Expedition Exchange sells the TJM or as already mentioned, find a shop, design and build your own, many of us have.

By September, ChicagoDon from Dweb will be making "affordable" tubed front bumpers. His work is outstanding. I'll see if I can find a picture of his bumper on his DII...
EDIT: Found it! http://www.discoweb.org/forums/showthread.php?t=32923

But speaking of Tube Bumpers SamIam on Dweb was showing off his simple tube bumper. Here is a link to his old ebay listing (it's ended now) But I know he was planing on making more and might be flexible on the price since he is just starting and claims to have the support of Keith at Rover Tracks
Might be worth looking into if you like the style I would rather the tube be bigger but that just personal preference.

Check out Equipe'4x4 too for a extremely well built tube type bumper. They are rock solid and beautifully finished.
