mile marker
would a mile marker PE8000 be enough winch for a D2?

8K is on the small side for a DII... usually people go with 9K. The MileMarker has bushings instead of bearings and permanent magnets instead of series wound. I'd be leary of it unless it's d-i-r-t cheap.

steve...you have a T Max right? are those good for the TJM tray...and how much do you sell the tjm tray for? I think i am about to order the extended pro-comps and a tjm tray from you!

TJM trays are $139. I've got a TMax 11000 that I used for only 4 months with Amsteel synthetic, chafe guard, Dynaflex line lock and a fine German safety hook if you really want a winch. I just got in the new 12000 TMax with wireless controller and WinchSafe line, so the 11K just sits. $675 with the Amsteel and everything on it- was over $900 new with all that stuff.
