Default My Home built disco winch plate.

Im too cheap to buy an ARB bumper =) I chose to put the winch between the frame rails for the most strength, and I wanted to keep the disco looking stock. I added the shackle point after ripping off one of the tow hooks . I have a bunch more pics and description here. http://etischer.com/rover/winch/

Cheers,
eric =)

No comments after more than a week? That has to be some of the cleanest work I've seen. Did you put the bumper back on? Better yet, build your own.

Woo, thanks =) I guess I forgot to take a pic of the final setup. I put the stock bumper back on. I welded two recessed washers on the bumper and it flush mounts to the winch plate.

This is the most recent pic, I broke both fog lights off. I also took off the headlight washers, and bolted on a bracket from the bumper to the brush bar to reduce vibration on the aux lights.

I have to say it was fun looking at the pictures wondering what it was finally going to look like when done. I have to say it looks great, I'm impressed with your work. I bet if you decided to make them for sale you'd have some takers.

Unfortunatly I don't think I could sell them for a profit. The first one took me about 20 hours, and probably about $200 in steel if I hadn't gotten it for free. Im sure I could probably make the second one in half the time, but an arb would probably be cheaper after adding my mark up =)

Im happy to lend a hand for anyone who wants to copy my design though. I have my original drawings and design posted here
