Default My Own winch bar .

Hi Guys , hope this is the right section for this but I'm in the middle of building my own winch bar . I'm using 2 inch gal pipe and have used a 5mm flat plate to bolt the winch to . I'll do another update after this weekend as i should have it just about finished . Heres a couple of pics ......

Howdy Guys , Have done some more work to the winch bar but the pipe bender has let me down and has busted . So have to wait until i have some cash to buy a new pipe bender to finish it . Heres a couple of pics ......

When you're doing you're welding, keep in mind zinc fumes are highly toxic.

Thanks Mate , yeah i knew of that . All the welding has been done in an open area to keep it as safe as possible .

Has your disco got air bags fitted, just curious about this because in NZ if air bags are fitted the bullbar etc are suposed to be air bar compatable. Something to do with crush ability so air bags wont go off with a minor impact. I suspect it one of those laws that are not enforced because nobody seems to ever heard of it happening.

Hi Mate , No i don't have airbags . Same laws here to stating must have airbag comatable bullbars if they are installed .

Thanks mate , yeah i'll be getting the bar sand blasted and powder coated once i am done . Still need to put the bar over the top to mount lights and aerial for the UHF . I'll also be making my own rear tubular bar once i have finished the winch bar .
