Default New Front Grille

Alright guys Muddy Oval's grille started my obsession now I must come up with something. I am Proposing to build a Kalahari/TReK/Saudi style grill but with some serious bells and whistles. SO if anyone has any inputs or idea or requests let me know because i'm beginning my sketches and I'd like everyones input and stuff to come up with something that I could make and sell if anyone is interested.

Thus far I'm thinking a small metal frame with wire mesh and light mounting structure tied to the frame. It will have several stainless steel snaps on the frame so that you can snap on a wading grille shield that will keep most of the water out of the grill, and also provide radiator coverage in extreme cold to keep engine temps normal. It will be either powder coated or covered with a LineX style deathkill indestructable bedliner

If anyone that has one or pics of one can post or email me as many photos as possible it would help hugely

I can provide pics of Kalahari grilles- I have a couple of 'em. Be mindful of two things:
03 and 04's don't have the 'wings' under the headlamps attached to the grille like the earlier DII. On the later ones, those trim parts are attached to the headlamp instead.
The two braces just inside the grille should NOT be removed. They can be relocated slightly, which is what I did.

You wouldnt happen to have any pics of these braces do you? Where did you relocate them, up, down, etc.?

Any pics of your present grill would be great!

Perhaps I will do this if discopilot can get this to work. I would definatly lineX it.

i think I took some pics as we put the brackets together- I'll check. I'm getting some Saudi grilles, but they're taking awhile to make the trip from the third world country where I found the last few new ones. They are expensive, but easier than fabbing up something.

I'd make my own grille out of some diamond plate, make a kick-ass design in it, and then polish it. At least that's what I would do.

yeah- $300 or slightly more... That fake one doesn't look too bad, but I think some people enjoy making stuff like that and some people just want to slap one on. Either way, they look cool.
