Made from EMT tubing... some 1" and some 3/4". Flooring is horse panel. Coated with bed liner paint... nonskid stuff. Weighs around 80 pounds.... if that much. I know I can lift it myself but size begs for two... Could not wait on the wish list lights up front so I put some 100w H3s x 4. Rear lights are slim 55w H3s. I guess there is not much more to say... maybe later I can put some acc. brackets here and there...
Took long enough to finish.... oh the latching... seems to be working very well. I gave up on the draw latch and just fab'd up something simple... all tread/steel tubing/ flat steel and a long nut.

Some more pics...
I guess it is time to start on the front bumper! The last pic is my final attempt at clean wiring. I used larger number 12 3 wire cable and black silicone and the rest is history... BTW even masking tape leave residue if left in 104 degree heat. Damn it was hot today!

That wire mess is plenty strong to stand on... it is Horse panel... I want to say it is 3/8th steel. You can not grab it and bend it within the squares. I walked all over it while it was on the ground and a little after I installed it. There is no spring to it at all with it welded down.

(4) 1"x10' EMT tubing @ 7.00 = $28.00 (10) 3/4"x10' EMT tubing @ 4.50 = $45.00 One bender... borrowed (8) pre made 90's @ 3.00 per = 28.00 Horse panel... Had some laying around. There were some odds and ends I had to pick up like wire and connectors for the cheapo lights. The wireless remote for the lights was $30.00. Paint... black primer... oh pretty cheap. Bed liner spray is about $8 per can I used several cans with some left over for touch ups. The locking system: One 48" steel tubing= $5 One 36 inch piece of flat steel = $4 One 48" all thread and 8 long bolts = I think around a buck per. I think the final total is right at $200.00 Good luck with the sliders.

yeah, but its extra work to replace them......instead of grinding the shit out of them with the rack mounts it would probably be easier ahead of time to just cut some rubber/silicone pieces, epoxy them to the mounts and then remount the rack. It would also help keep it on more snug.
