Default Pro Comp lift

I was reading one of the LR mags from across the pond (might have been LRM, dunno...) and noticed that they advertise a 1, 2, or 3" lift from Pro Comp for the Disco and Range Rover. Has anyone heard of it, or seen it installed? Or have more info about it?

Not that I'll order it or anything, but I'm definetly curious about it.

DAP sells Big Blue springs with ProComp shocks, maybe that's what they're doing too.

Look in the parts kit section under suspension

ProComp doesn't make a spring for the Rovers... they may have worked out a packaging deal with Bearmach (the UK ProComp distributor) or something for that market.

You're probably right. I found the ProComp UK site, and the springs on the pic look a lot like bearmach's. link here. Still, that's kinda cool that you can go to your local 4WP (or whoever sells ProComp stuff over there) and get your Land Rover lifted.

crazy thought while we're on the topic of springs, and just hypothetically: Has anyone ever thought of using springs from another vehicle on the Rover? Say, something from a vehicle that's close to the same weight (I'm thinking from something like a Super Duty)?

wow- 343£! That's $640 or so for four springs and shocks. Same setup in the USA is under $400.

The ProComp kit is just springs and shocks... same thing I have for $379. I'll have a more expensive kit coming out that also includes the extended stainless Goodridge brake lines for $499 and another that adds the sway bar disconnects... price TBD but probably about $650

I'm 80% sure those "ProComps" are Big Blues, although haven't heard back on the inquiry. Bearmach and ProComp have a lot going on together in the U.K.

Isn't that already on the DAP website?

Edit: nope, I was thinking of the wrong kit.

I have a mate who has the procomp springs and shocks on his 97 300TDI D90. He really rates them and they are definately NOT bearmach blue springs!
