Default ProComp Shocks

Steve started the rumor that he, or DAP, were the only people selling the procomp +2 shocks for the D2. He also said he, or DAP, helped to "make" or design this shock for procomp. Both have been turned out to be bull shit.

The rear shock is a 924573. The front shock is a 923560, which is a "special order". Take a maxumin of 2-days to ship.

ANY procomp dealer can get these shocks for you. Local shop has them for 39.99. Not sure if that's a deal or not, as I'm not really all that worried about it. Local shop here is called TnT, 540-943-6379. They are an authorized dealer of procomp. DAP is not. In fact, Procomp has no idea who DAP is or who they get their product from. They are just a "middle man".

Anyone with questions can call Brandon at Procomp, 1-800-776-0767, ext. 115.

I thought this was very "interesting". Actually, I thought it was funny as shit with all the talk Steve does....

Why are you harping on Steve he is a good guy that help us out tremendously. If you don't want to buy his shocks then don't buy them you don't have to publically attempt to humilate him. Who really cares is he is a procomp authorized dealer I sure as hell know I don't.

Rock on Steve

LOL, because I think it's funny you guys treat his comments like Gospel. When, in fact, he lies and is full of shit.

This just goes to show...

....and before someone says it. No, I did not take time out of my day to check this out. Someone was here in my office today who sells Procomp as an authorized dealer. The discussion came up about the procomps, and I mentioned to him about DAP being the only ones who sell a particular shock. He made a quick phone call on his cell phone, and called Bull Shit in about 45 seconds. What was really funny is when he, as an authorized dealer, said he'd rather have skyjacker shocks over procomp.

I call bullshit on you...

Here's why- THOSE ARE NOT THE SAME SHOCKS. We worked with our rep to have casings done for our shocks. DIFFERENT PART NUMBERS.
The tie bars have to be custom done since the DII uses larger bolts in the lower tie bars than anything ProComp normally makes.

So- nice try at making up some story- but the fact remains that THOSE ARE NOT THE SAME PART NUMBERS... LOL!

Skyjacker? They buy their casings from the same place... shows what they know.
They certianly DO know who we are- we distribute thousands of their shocks...

Well it's a good thing we have Hank prowling around on this board to save us from ourselves. Hey I am suprised you have time to pull yourself from looking at the cover of the magazine your truck was pictured on to investigate the whole ProComp conspiracy for everyone here...thanks. You have obviously lost some sleep over it to have asked this "authorized dealer" about it!

Sorry, but DAP will get my buisness in the future! Even after that great revelation Hank.

It's not even a revelation- he's entirely wrong and even supplied the wrong part numbers.

He's mad because I refused his request to buy tie rod ends at a discount.

LOL Steve, You so full of shit! He had Brandon on speaker phone while I was sitting right here, lol.

You guys can say all you want to. I posted the name, and phone number of a guy who work for the company and actually builds the shocks. So, you can either take Steve-o's word for it, or call the number if you think I'm full of shit.

Steve, DAP (Al and Lou) is a middle man. DAP (AL and Lou) is not a wholeseller or retailer for Procomp. Prove me otherwise!!!!

Sorry to bust your bubble, Badger, but it was no time off my day. I had the guy stop by so I could buy some product off him. That's when the whole discussion came up. Procomp cannot sell one product to ONLY one business.

You might need to find some other employees at Procomp- otherwise where did those 20,000 or so shocks for Land Rovers go? Why are they sending me free stuff to try out like MX6 remote reservoir shocks? Why did they send me some new bushings and dealer decals?

LOL, there is the phone number, Steve. You, or anyone else, can call it.

Look on their web site. If you, excuses me, DAP (Al and Lou), sold 20k shocks, don't you think DAP would at least be listed as a dealer???? Come on Steve, your lieing.

And, when did I ask you for a discount on tie rod ends??? Show me! I asked how much a case was. NO WHERE did I ask you for a discount! AGAIN, YOU ARE CAUGHT IN A LIE, LMAO!!! No worries, I purchased 100 of them today.

Just bitter because I won't sell you stuff, apparently. The timing is too suspicious. "Just looking for the best deal" HA!
We are a distributor... maybe that's why we aren't on the retail part of their site. Face it, you aren't doing your homework and posting a bunch of crap based on B.S. Call all the numbers you want- you're calling the wrong people apparently... that guy you listed isn't our rep and I've never heard of him.
No lie- you just want to make it appear that way. Won't work.
This is actually turning out to be really entertaining because detective hank is incompetent and has no clue.

Hank why is that we on this board take your word for anything?! You are constanly on here as just an antagonist, pointing fingers, calling names, etc., etc., on LRO and Dweeb and I am sure on whatever other board you prowl on. How the hell do any of us know that you aren't the liar? Steve is always nothing but willing to help and offer GOOD advice, not talk down to just because someone might not know something. Can't beat his customer service either! The complete opposite of you Hank.

You are a troll, go back under the bridge where you belong!
