roof rack/basket

I posted this in the general forum as well, as I'm still doing research and havn't picked a truck/model yet. My question is, if the vehicle did not come equipped with a basket as an option are there any oem attachment points for a basket or is it something that requires drilling etc etc. The reason I ask is so when I am looking at vehicles, I have something to look for. I will be doing a full roof basket for winter Ice fishing excursions, and have ALOT of gear that will be travelling up there.

They generally attach to the gutters on Land Rovers
