Roof racks - Land Rovers Only

Hi there,

I am about to purchase a Land Rover Discovery II but wondering if anyone can help regarding a couple of things.

I need to get cross bars for the roof rack system and wondering where the best place to get these is (I live in LA).

Also, I will be carrying surfboards and bikes quite often and wondering if anyone can recommend the best rack or other system for carrying these (for casual use around LA but also for longer road trips).

Sam,
That roof rack will cost you nearly 2 MPG because of air drag, sure you want to do that?

I only need to put it on every now and again for surfboards and bikes. The car has a tow bar so I could put a bike rack on the back of the car - are they more efficient??

Surfboards will fit inside the car but on long road trips I would need to put them on the roof.
