Default Snorkel options

Guys, here is something worth sharing for those of us considering a home made snorkel. Dave at Southdown is offering tops and other pieces of his snorkels for sale individually. They are apparently seconds but I couldnt find any issues with the top and the base I bought. I bought the fender mount and the top for the series/90, welded up a 2.5 inch pipe and made a cheap and good looking snorkel. I was real happy with the service from him as well. Here is his online store and he will be happy to answer any questions. Gordo
Heres a photo of mine. not bad for 93 bucks shipped.

Well I looked again and it looks like the only tops he has right now are the series one. It might work with the D1 but I would ask before I bought it. He does have a few of the D1 and series/90 fender mounts though. Gordo

I'm wondering if some of those parts would work on a rrc

Im not sure about the RRC. The photos on their website show that the RRC doesnt have the fender mounted rubber piece. Great option for the series though and the fender piece really makes it clean. Gordo

Gordo; Do the fender mounts for the series work in conjunction with the oil bath cleaner; or in place of it? I would like a snorkel for my series, but want to keep my oil bath. Thanks.
