I didn't see a D2 mentioned anywhere on that site.
Steve at Rovertym currently owns a D2 so I hope to see more out of them soon. He did a bit of custom stuff for mine last year.

Not the only people. What are you looking for? Remember, whatever it is P76 says it won't work.

I have never said it won't work, only that he is stuffing up the off-road ability of his vehicle and wasting money on mods not required for what he wants to do. But obviously he has too much money and does not care too much about off-road ability, so I am just letting him go.

But if he really wants modified linkages, he may try Cheezy Racing in Melbourne. They do them for other brands of vehicles, they might be able to do something for him.

One for D2 owners that are serious about their off-roading and modifying their vehicles. Why do you think that I can post so many photos of D2's. It is strange that many of them have front and rear lockers, simex tyres, 4.11 diff ratios, maxi-drive axles, winches, modified front and rear bars, etc, etc, but I am only aware of one with a 4 inch spring lift (Slunnie). Again, I am not saying what Slunnie did was not appropriate in his circumstances, that is, he wanted to run 35+ inch tyres on a SRS Disco. He also went to a lot of trouble to cut the wheel arches and rear doors.

Are you agreeing with me?
If you want to fit 35+ inch tyres, it is about the only way to fit them. As I have said time and time again, you only have only 33 inch tyres and may fit 34's in the future. You do not require such a lift for such tyres. Therefore there is no need to inflict the modifications and the issues they raise for what you are planning to run. Also I have sated that the modifications carried out by Slunnie are now illegal in Australia, even with an engineers certificate. You make no mention of getting the mods engineered and are therefore well outside the legal requirements. Therefore, if you are in accident you will end up with all sorts of issues.

I have only attempted to highlight the issues with what you are planning. But since you are determined to go ahead with it, I have at least attempted to help you out with a name of a place that may have the parts you require.

The 33's yes I actually have 32's however these are my street tyres and do plan to get another set of rims to fit 34 why 32 because I purchase them cheap enough to say what the heck $160 a piece for cooper STT you would have bought them to seeing that they retail for $260 each

please do agree that 34's with 4 inch lift is better for guard clearances then 34's with a 2 inch lift not to mention under body clearances approach angels and departure angels

why is that that the only thing you relate to lifts are larger tyre sizes what about clearances

as for legalities I think Slunnie recently had the D2 blue slipped so if it where illegal as you state then why was it blue slipped and I do plan on having it engineered to he mentioned that the D2 regs are a little different due to build

And yes I am determined to do a 4 inch lift as this is what I want out of my 4wd I am no novice on the track and although new to land rover being my second one its not my first 4wd and have driven for a number of years now, I also have certificates VTAB accredited for Driving I also carry a CAMS license

So please appreciate what I want to do with help less criticism

Can I please have this link to this Forum of yours im interested to have a read of all the D2 owners that are serious about their off-roading and modifying their vehicles
