Default Thoughts about the Detroit Electrac Lockers

I was wondering what you chaps thought about the Detroit Electrac Lockers? They're suppose to be controllable lockers that can be activated and deactivated just like the ARB but are also limited slip differentials when not engaged. I was wondering if any of you know any reliablity issues associated with detroit lockers or the electrac lockers? Have any of you put them in you vehicles? I know many of you are die-hard ARB fans, but I was wondering if about another alternative. Are ARB limited slip differentials when not engaged also? Here is a view of the Detroit Electrac Lockers http://www.tractech.com/docs/DetroitElectrac04.pdf.

The only thing I dislike about them is the external control box, mounted to the diff...

But, they don't, nor will they, make a Rover application.

darn......... thanks for the response though. Do you know if the ARB is a limited slip differential before it is engaged? Or is it an open differential until you engage it, to lock it out?

Open Diff that locks when engaged.
