I went by an upholstery shop to see about getting my '90 rrc's front seats recovered ( cracked and splitting etc. ) he said he could do the front two in naugahyde for $300... so what do you guys think about synthetic vs. leather? I can get perforated for the seating surface, so heat buildup under my arse shouldn't be an issue... my real concerns are, cleanability, durability, lookability and costability....in that order... so what kinda costs have you guys seen for seat re-skinning? and let me know what you think about the fake stuff...it doesn't bother my snob factore a bit...especially considering the current condition of the seats

i checked into getting mine recovered. synthetic would definitely be the way to go. leather was going to cost more than $2000 to do all seats. I ended up having mine professionally re-dyed. if leather isn't badly cracked this is an optioin and it ran me about $500 for all seats.

Have you checked the local junk yards for replacement seats by chance? Mine were kinda rough and I'm replacing the entire interior with one from my parts truck

rural eastern kentucky junkyards do not equal anything other than ford, chevy, dodge, toyota...I have always been a car guy and can only remember seeing two range rover classics in this area since I started driving back in the eighties...and one of them is the one I am driving, and I think the other one was just passing thru
