The best place to get them is your local rigging store. They are called swivel hoist rings. Mine were 5000lb rated, tested to 11500lb and breaking strength of 24000lbs.

You can order them through expedition exchange, ag4x4, devon4x4, and a few others. Very practical, and very strong. But as DiscoMike said, they HAVE to be mounted properly. Follow directions Exactly. I have a pair on my SIIa, and have been thinking about putting them on my DII. Excellent product, if a bit pricey.

I have seen some suppliers that sell heavy duty recovery loop/rings that plug into the receiver, how well do those work?
off subject-Xtreme Marine, is there any photos on this forum of your DII? Love the looks of it from your avatar. |

Thanks Crysyn. Appreciate it. It's an 02' DII SE Kalahari Package. In Borrego Yellow, with the Techra Interior. 1 of 350. And 1 of 150 in that color. No pics on this board. But I have a couple of shots in photobucket. PM me an email address, and I'll send you a link.

Those rear recovery point shackles are great. Probably 90% of Rover owners have one. Usually through Warn. Work great, and just toss it in the back when you don't need it.
