my car's in the shop again for a computer fault and I 'm thinkin about geting my front windows tinted. What % should i get, I've been told 35% is good for the front two windows but it think the second row window's are darker than that. My main reasons for tint is heat and UV protection. Does anyone know what % the back windows on a LR3 is? The only thing is I don't want it too dark that i can't see the trail with the window up.

Rmuller, there was a note further down in the link that you posted stating that there is no restrictions with side mirrors. I am not exactly sure what that means, but in most areas the restriction is only on the front windows. Otherwise a van would be illegal as the rear and rear side windows have no visibility. But such vehicles must have dual side mirrors.

I only need my driver and passenger front windows tinted because the rest of the window's are already tinted from the factory and are darker than 35%

ben just stick with the same tint as the back (35%). it looks good when it has a even tint. my RRC was from FL and all windows r at 50% i think. in MN u can have up to 50%. i need the back tail gate tinted again. i was going to have the tint shop test the front window. it's took some time to get adjusted to the tint when i 1st got the rrc. though i get alot of looks, black paint with black rims with the tint. i hope it is at 50% so i do not have to pay to get thte windows re-tinted.

I actually think that the rear windows on the LR3 are alot darker than 35% but if the back ones are 35% then the front windows will match .
