CLEVELAND NATIONAL FOREST EMERGENCY CLOSURE

San Diego, CA ? October 22, 2007...To protect public health and safety of
those in and around the Cleveland National Forest from wildfire, effective
Monday, October 22, 2007, through the end of the fire emergency, the
Cleveland National Forest will be closed. Going into or being upon
National Forest System lands, road or trails within the Cleveland National
Forest constitutes a violation of these prohibitions and is punishable by a
fine of not more than $5,000 for an individual or $10,000 for an
organization, or imprisonment for not more than six months, or both.16 USC
551 and 18 USC 3559, 3571, and 3581. Please check with the other southern
California National Forests to determine what current fire restrictions are
in place.

Forest offices are open Monday - Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
