CLEVELAND NATIONAL FOREST REQUESTS PUBLIC INPUT ON
2008 OFF HIGHWAY VEHICLE GRANTS
San Diego, CA-August 17, 2007...The Cleveland National Forest is in
the process of developing the State of California Off -Highway Motor
Vehicle Recreation Matching Funds Grant application and is requesting that
interested publics and recreationists review this year’s draft application
and provide the Forest with written comments by September 14, 2007. The
Forest will be submitting the application to the California
Off-Highway-Vehicle Recreation Division for 2007-2008. The grant will
provide for the operation, maintenance, signing, map printing, resource
protection and law enforcement for trails and facilities associated with
the Cleveland National Forest motorized recreation program. These
activities primarily occur at Wildomar OHV Area on the Trabuco Ranger
District in Riverside County and Corral Canyon/Bear Valley OHV Area on the
Descanso Ranger District in San Diego County.
The public can view the Forest’s draft application on the forest web
site at
