Default Western to Central WA

Anyone from the said area? I am looking for some people to go Wheeling with. I am not a punch it break stuff kind of driver. I would prefer to wheel with others that do not want to break stuff. Let me know if you are in the area and would like to do some wheeling.

I'll be in Auburn/Seattle and I will also be looking for someone to wheel with. I usually have to keep it pretty mild since I usually go with one vehicle. I am also very careful of my rover

I'll be back in the state at the end of February, at which point I will be converting my LWB to springs and lifting it

Where exactly are you at?

Dude are we moving back from Europe at the same time?? Too Funny! I will be back in Washington hopefuly no later than the 1st week of march. So I suggest that we all hook up and do some wheeling! I will be in the Tacoma/Seattle area when I'm back.

Isawicki...post some pics of LWB up...wouls love to see bro!

Yea man that would be great to get a small fleet of rovers up in the trails

Here is my LWB

These two are from Walker Valley ORV Park up near Mt. Vernon:

And from Evan's Creek last summer

and all clean

I've been sportin' the EAS system until now, either my compressor blew or my valve block did, but in any case I'm switching to a beefier spring setup with a lift, and maybe even looking to get quick disconnect links for my swaybars

Now that I've shown you mine, let's see your guys'rides!

Thanks for compliments man. I can't wait to get back either. There's no place like the pacific northwest! I'm glad that my truck will be apreciated by others as much as myself.However..it's making nervous that I'm bringing a pretty rare truck home with out any real security on it!! Not sure what the best way to go is.

Your Rangie is AMAZING.Very nice rig!

Yea man with a nice shiny red rig like yours, it would be wise to check into some security, although with mine, I have the security of knowing that if someone tried to steal my rangie, it would probably break down on them and I would find it on the side of the road with the check engine light on
Also, and alarm system helps!

Plus, yours has a lot of nice goodies on it, so security is even more important. What's the story behind your truck...every Series has a story!

Thanks for the compliments

Well not 100% sure of it's past yet but the boys from the LR Heritage Museum are looking into it for me. I found her as an abandoned vehicle overgrown with shrubs on E-bay. There was a story I heard from an old Land Rover guy from the Museum years ago telling me that most Masai red land rovers, something like 98% were African destined or expedition destined vehicles that were outfitted in the Woodhill division of Lode Lane.(now the special vehicles div). So after seing it on E-bay I had to go check it out. So I drive the 150 miles to see it in the dark! I knew once I saw it I had to have it! I know that us men sometimes don't think logicaly about these things so I brought my friend Rosie. I of course ignored everthing she said and parted with £900 for the train wreck of a truck. The paint was so bad that you could rub your hand on it and the chalky red would just come right off.(took 6 months of wet sanding and waxing to save the paint!)
What I know so far is that it was sent to a south African LR dealer in Pretoria. It was pre ordered by a customer to have Masai red and the uprated cloth interior. There is a significant bit of History missing as the next bit of info I have is it being serviced by Camelford Land Rover in Cornwall!!! How the hell did it get there?? When I was in Cornwall last I popped in there. It's now just a 4x4 service center but I met the owner and he said he remembered it.He walked out and looked at it and said.."yep..thats Ralfs old Landy". I asked if he had any details left on the previous owner and he did. It turns out the truck was bought by Sir Ranulph Fiennes! I'm trying desperately to get confirmation on this as that would be just about the coolest thing ever! I have sent all the info I can to his people but as of yet no answer.

Thanks. She's the only truck for me! Yes..thats the origional paint!! Not a single patch resprayed. All wet sanded and buffed out.Very thick paint. I suggest picking up a Series truck at any opportunity as its the most fun you will have in a Land Rover I believe. I'm not interested in the modern aspects of a car anyway. I have heat and a sweet stereo.Thats all I need.

I'll take ya out sometime. I have no intention of bashing the shit of my 109 as I love it too much and I have many more trips planned for her. I need to remember where first as I have lived in Europe for over the past decade.

I know this thread is a bit old, but seemed like a good place to find possible offroading buddies. I live in Vancouver, WA., but would drive quite a ways for a day of fun and friendship. Good times. BTW, Series 3 Guy, what a fantastic series III!!!!!! Best I've seen yet IMHO. Great story, too!
