Hey Jason, here is my truck, the silver Range Rover "VELAR" in post #1 at Crozet a few weeks ago...

There are alot of forest trails around suitable for stock vehicles...

Default VA: ROAV Spring Rally

Please check out the Spring Rally thread on the ROAV forum www.roav.org

If you haven't yet signed up for ROAV membership, you can do so on the forum or even at the Spring Rally. This is the best way to meet fellow Land Rover enthusiasts in VA: a great friendly group with Rover owners of all experience and skill levels.

There will be an "official" Spring Rally thread opening up in a few weeks with more detail on the event. The Spring Rally is always a great time and is MUCH smaller than the Mid Atlantic Rally.

This year's event will be based at the Misty Mountain Campground in Crozet, VA, from Friday May 18th - Sunday May 20th, with two "main events" on Saturday:

1. There will be several trail runs at Crozet ranging from intermediate thru advanced. These will be guided trail runs thru some of the best trails in the state.

2. There will be a scenic trail run for those who do not wish to challenge them selves at Crozet and/or spectate. The scenic trail run will conclude Saturday afternoon with a tour of a local winery.

There will be experienced drivers and recovery specialists on all trail rides to assist with any questions, concerns, or problems that may arise. The scenic trail run will be suitable for stock vehicles with very minimal risk of damage. However, please remember that there is always some amount of risk inherent in our hobby of driving Land Rovers off-road. There will be an inspection for vehicles running the Crozet trails. Vehicles running Crozet trails will need a full-size spare tire and solid front & rear recovery points. There is an add'l list of required & recommended items for those running the advanced trails (see ROAV forum).

On Saturday evening there will be a dinner and celebration with your fellow Rover Heads. I look forward to seeing you there - and to meeting some of newer members!

Look for a new thread & more details in mid-April.

(Side-note for the OGs: carnage at Uwharrie is NOT an excuse to miss the Rally -- so I'll see you there )

Hi Nomar,

That's a cool looking truck. I'm not sure I've seen it on the roads but will definitely recognise it if I do
