Default MAR anyone? First timer needs insight....

OK heres the scoop...
I own a 03' Disco stock and the only off roading has been at the dealers "in some dudes backyard" off road event and the only time its been in water is backing my boat it. Id really like to learn what she's capable of. Im really looking forward to going to MAR this year but I dont know anyone or really anything a whole lot about it. I do know they have stock trails, are there alot of stock LR there? Anything special i need to bring? Allow dogs? Im traveling from MD so I will prob come Fri night for some wheeling Sat morn. Just trying to meet some guys in and around my area so I can start going off roadin. Thanks!
If any of your know the site adminatrators for the R.O.V.E.R.S. club in PA tell him to unlock my name(mddisco) so i can post on their site.

There are a couple of stock trails there. Come and run around on them, learn what your truck is capable of. If it is raining a ton don't bother, however. The beginner and intermediate trails may turn to impassable.

There is also SO much Rover eye candy to look at. Mild to wild, gorgeous and hideous trucks are all there. Lots of people to talk to as well.

Deeker's got it right. The trails are fairly mild at MAR. However, the rain can make them extremely challenging. Even if it rains you should go. He's right about the Rover-Candy. Several hundred rigs and you can always hop in someone's truck if it gets too muddy for stockers.

Dogs are not encouraged unless they are well-behaved. Lots of trucks + dogs = high probability for injury.

Was going to bring the dog but GF is now staying home so she'll watch him. Sounds like a blast!

It's always fun. My dog always comes with me but I'm one of those owners that controls their dogs. If there are people around she's on a leash and by my side. If I'm on the trail she's in my truck and stays there. There was on exception to that 3 or 4 years ago when we had to spend 3 or so hours rebuilding a log bridge and she was used to occupy some of the small children that where getting bored.

Last year I went to MAR even though I had sold my truck just to hang out with friends and check out the rovers. It was still fun even though I didn't get any trail riding in.
