I am relatively new but I was wondering if anyone is going to the ROVERS meeting in Harrisburg, PA? I am looking for a way to meet other Rover owners to discuss our vehicles. Here is a link to the site http://www.roversclub.org/html/events.html and it explains the meeting. I think this is the only club in the area, but I would be happy just to meet up with others at a Denny's or something.

I belong to ROVERS, great group. I mainly off-road with some friends since there isn't a NY LR club anymore. We usually go to Rausch Creek, Pinies and some secret trails in NY & NJ.
I'll probably go to the meeting, hope to see you there. |

I am actually in Maryland and Harrisburg isn't exactly the easiest place to get to for me... nor is it the closest. I know there are a bunch of other Marylanders around the LR Forums (Discoweb too) but it seems they all head out of state just to meet up. Hell... every night there is the local Honda/Acura meeting at the Dunkin Donuts. I'm not saying I want to do that nor do I want the responsibility of organizing a club... but it would be nice to check out peoples rigs in person and see who they are and why they chose to do what they did with their Rover.

Annapolis isn't close but maybe somewhere close?? There are TONS of trails around my area....I live in Leesburg, VA and there are other clubs, matter of fact check out www.roav.org they are planning a spring meet in Wash Park about 2hrs south of me that I am attending - it seems like it will be an awesome time.
Also, a few blokes LRR219 hangs with meet up in Frederick MD and go have fun on Sundays - unfortunately I have kids playing soccer every bloody Sunday so I have not been able to get out yet. Maybe we sould set a day to go play???????? ![]()

All,
I'm about 30 minutes south of Annapolis. I rarely have free time on the weekends to sneak out for even a few hours of R&R. Going to GWNF, Rausch Creek, or Paragon are just too far for me (unless I plan very carefully and well in advance)! I read on www.muddyoval.com that Land Rover Annapolis is hosting a meet-n-greet on 04-Feb-2006. I think you'll be able to drive a LR3 on their course (no personal vehicles, though). My day is booked so I can't make it . Sounds like fun...-Chris- |
