Anyone around the Nashville area down for some wheel'n this weekend?
Had thought about going to Wooly's Offroad in Lynnville,TN just about an hour south of Nashville off I-65. http://www.woolysoffroad.com/ And here's a link to a past thread on the TNRovers club site with some pictures.... http://www.tnrovers.com/boards/viewtopic.php?t=1016 And don't worry, it's not all as rough as some of those pictures make out. Stockers will be fine, or atleast on the trails I was thinking about. Land Rover Nashville has taken customer/dealer rides there twice now I think. I went on the first of those, and had a blast... I really wanna go, but don't wanna be the only truck going ya know...

i'll go with you if my parents give me the okay because of what happened last time. But i'd love to go back and wheel with the MT's again.
And i've been here 3 times so far and stock trucks will make it on most of the trails, they have everything from mild to wild. Plus the guys who own the place are very nice and will help out when needed rhino my email is ben_pitts@tmail.com drop me an email sometime because i'd love to go wheeling again

*Email sent Ben.
Yup, started a new thread in the members section and the general section on TNRovers... Becca hasn't responded yet, but hopefully she'd wanna go. If it's ok with you, I was really wanting to hit up the same trails we did with LRN the first time they went in early June. I had a good time on the trails, semi-challenging, but not too rough.. I especially liked the "creek" trail if that sounds/seems familar to you. I didn't get to go with them earlier this month so I don't know if they did new trails last time or not. Anyways check your email, and get back to me, I'm die'n to go wheel'n. My roomate hasn't got to ride offroad in the Rangie yet so he's eager too. ![]()

ya after i did all that damage to the LR3 i'm going to stay out of the rough stuff and deep water. so the trails we went on are perfect and maybe we can find some more that are just like those. But i'm dying to go wheelint too and test out the mt's again. now which creek thing are you talkin about?

how tight are the trails? how far from nashville? and is their any deep water because i'm not playing in that any more after an 800 repair bill and over 5k in damages(some covered under warrenty) you just don't want to play in water.

There is mud and water if you want it, but most of us in the group dont play in it. The trails can be pretty tight and I have many beauty marks to show it. Usually its the trees that make it narrow, but some of the trails squeeze through rocks which arent very forgiving to sheetmetal. The Wranglers dont have much trouble, and I can usually slip through in my D1.... barely.

Sounds fun Ares, but uhhhh I don't really have a trail beater truck, nor does Ben. Now someday down the road when I get an old Series, or RRC then we can talk about Turkey Bay trips...
Can find the thread right now, but I've seen some crazy pics from there. This was about the best informative website I could find on Turkey Bay, help me out Ares if you know a better one. http://home.earthlink.net/~tsjay49/ Be sure to check out Blackhole,Bronco Gullys, Butpucker Hill and Butpucker Gulch pics in the last above http://www.explorekentuckylake.com/lbl/ohv.htm http://www.lbl.org/TurkeyBayOHVInformation.pdf http://www.lbl.org/OHVTrails.html

Buttpucker Hill is a must ride for the first timer. But after 3 or 4 times, its no big deal. Buttpucker gulch WILL, I repeat, WILL tear your shit up quick. It is 200 times worse now than it was a year ago. The pits are at least 10ft deep in certain spots. It swallows vehicles up.... literally. It took 3 hours and 3 winches to get this guy out last winter. It should be Buttpucker Gulp cause it swallowed this full size bronco and he hasnt made it a third up the obstacle. ![]() But, it is a side obstacle off the main trail. I seriously doubt any in our group will try it, but you never know. This is the beauty of TB. Nearly every obstacle has an easy way around. And, its a fun place for the stockest of trucks. We are planning on having a couple bone stock Wranglers in the group this weekend and they are guaranteed to have fun. On a side note, it is supposed to rain tonight and tomorrow. If TB doesnt shut down, it will be a BITCH to do the easy stuff and damage will be certain. Still, I would love to take a new RR or LR3 through some of the light trails on a dry day. I think you guys would have a blast and can escape damage-free. The great thing about our groups is many are experts on the area and are safety-first people. Never any pressure to do something you are uncomfortable, always plenty of tools, and never do we leave someone behind. Ive seen both of your trucks, Ben and Brad, in action and I think you would have a blast at TB.
