This is a good time for all. it is perfect for first times to get there tires whet and there is some ugly stuff for the big guys to get the winches out on.
Hello Everyone - It's almost here! The Registration Deadline for US Invasion is One month from Today!! and Invasion itself is just over one month away... This means I need YOUR response NOW! I need to know who is coming... What size T-Shirts to order.... How many people to tell the Caterer to cook for! If you don't respond, There won't be enough for YOU!! In case you missed the details the last time - here they are again: Save the Date: August 4th and 5th, 2007 in Corfu, NY Reservations being taken NOW. Due to a number of “No Shows” and last minute cancellations in the past and after the success of the program last year – we ask that participants pre-pay again this year, mostly so we can give the caterer correct numbers for Food and order the correct sizes for T-shirts. An RSVP Form is attached that asks: Number of participants, Type of Vehicle(s), T-shirt Size for each person, whether you plan on staying overnight and where, any special Food Restrictions, etc. All Reservations must be received by July 21st Here’s the 411: Event Name: 11th Annual LOCC US Invasion Weekend Date: Saturday August 4th (with Camping available thru Sunday August 5th) Time: First Trail ride will begin at approximately 10:00 AM Saturday Location: The Warren Farm, Route 5, Corfu, NY Directions: Take the New York State Thruway to Exit 48A. After the Tollbooth, turn right onto Route 77 South. At the top of the hill (Traffic signal), turn left onto Route 5 East. We are the first house on the right - look for all the vehicles on the field. Cost: $20 Per Person for participants ($10 for Children age 12 & under) - includes a Custom-designed commemorative T-shirt, Family Barbecue (all you can Eat), Soda, Coffee, Water (all you can drink), "primitive" camping on-site (Porta Potty will be available). (Please Note: Any reservations received after July 21 or any paid on-site will have a $10 service fee added to each person) Events to Include: Off-road "Trail Rides" on 300+ Acres of Privately-owned land (everything from Green Lanes to technical woods trails to Full-on Mud Whumpin'), Various Skills events, Catered Family Barbecue Dinner, Bonfire, Family-style camping Things to Bring: Sunscreen, Bug Repellent For off-roaders: Recovery gear (tow straps, winch, etc.), Mud boots, Your off-road vehicle (any make or model will be accepted) For Campers: Camping Gear (Tent or camper, sleeping bag, propane stove, etc.), any "Adult Beverages" you wish to consume at the Bonfire (After the driving is all done), Food for Breakfast on Sunday (we will provide Coffee, Tea & Donuts both mornings), extra clothes & boots (in case you get Muddy). Sorry, no campfires will be permitted in the Camping meadow. Please Note: If you wish to arrive on Friday Afternoon / Evening to camp out for an early start, you can do this, but please let me know to expect you. You can also Camp out Saturday night. We do not allow alcoholic beverages during the day while the driving is going on, but you are welcome to BYOB if you are staying the night and come make merry with us around the bonfire.
