mark your calendars, July 31-August 2. Mountain Lake, Giles County Virginia. Trail rides will include the Wheatland Farm, Potts Mountain trail and miles of open forest service roads. Rally Control will open on Friday afternoon, and the event will wrap up Sunday afternoon. Registration is limited to 125 vehicles. The cost is $75 for the weekend.
-The open Forest Service Roads are stock friendly with views of the area.
-the trails on Wheatland Farm are intermediate with some sections that are more challenging.
-The Potts Mountain Trail is the most difficult. When it is dry it is moderately challenging with some great obstacles, and when it is wet it is QUITE challenging.
There will be guided rides as well as open riding in all locations, with some night rides as well.
Preregistration closes on Monday July 27th. If there is still space available you may register on site. There is a $20 late registration fee.
The camping is at the top of the mountain, where the old golf course was. Primitive campsites like last year and smaller campers are welcome as well. Bigger campers may have a hard time getting to the site. The Hotel is open as well, and the lake is filling up! above ground campfires are okay.
